Why Socks?!
Because hospitals are cold, treatment is long…
…And our co-founder is terrible at fashion.
The day Bethany had her port put in, she wore boring, mismatching socks to the hospital. She (lovingly) got a lot of grief from her mom and nurses on the fashion choice and her Mom posted it for all to see on their blog. She jokingly vowed that day to only wear fun (and matching) socks from there on out! Fast forward to the first days of chemo and radiation and it became clear that warm socks were also a must. From all of that, the idea for HallieStrong was born.
Our care packages are free to send and our hope is that each patient finds the warmth they need in these socks but also enjoy a little cheer when wearing them.
